On view for the duration of ONE Festival, this world premiere video installation harnesses the orchestral masterpiece The Dharma at Big Sur as soundtrack and aural inspiration. Part film, part dance and part theatrical experience, the installation captures a sense of the profound and sweeping emotions John Adams packed into one of his most personal and contemplative works. The Dharma at Big Sur encourages viewers to probe questions of shared loss, intimacy, the nascence of love and desire and our most guarded thoughts.
